Chiefs Coal Bin Duty for Player and Parents Begins August 27th

The last two years our economy has affected all of us in so many ways.  Schools districts have been hit hard as well and that has impacted our basketball program.  The last two years our basketball budget has been cut.  We have less money to put towards our program and players.  Thank goodness we have the opportunity to earn money through the Kansas City Chiefs by working the coal bins at all home games for the Chiefs and three college games.  This is an opportunity for players and families to earn money to offset costs for basketball shoes, team sweats, etc.  We are going to require all players to work a certain amount of games this year.  Parents are welcome to help out as well.

Working the coal bins is a very easy job.  We meet at Chrisman, drive over to Arrowhead and two people sit next to a coal bin for three to four hours and help people dump their used charcoal or fish out their grilling grates if they are accidentally dumped in the coal bin.  You will need to bring a lawn chair to sit in, dress appropriately for the weather for that day, bring a book or newspaper, homework, headphones, etc. to keep yourself occupied or you can do one of mine and Coach Adams' favorite things......people watch.

We really need and appreciate everyone's participation and support.  I will have sign-up sheets available at school for athletes to sign for themselves/parents.  Be listening to the morning announcements for information on our first basketball meeting.
